Starting this week, Prior Design has a body kit in stock for the latest Mercedes-Benz CLS (C257 / model year 2018). Let us see how much has changed since the earlier generations.
The answer is, frankly enough, “not much at all”. The components are basically the same, just slightly retouched to fit the latest CLS-Class better. Made of a GFRP/Duraflex mix, the kit it lightweight and shouldn’t be too far behind carbon fiber in terms of practicality.
Included are an AMG-style front apron, a spoiler lip, a Panamericana grille, a PD hood badge, wheel arch extensions comprised of as many as 12 parts, a rear apron and a rear diffuser. The rear fenders look especially sophisticated because they even encroach on the doors.
Aside from that, the show car rides low on H&R springs and PD4 Forged 22” wheels, the two finishing touches that in our opinion round off the image of the Stuttgart-made premium saloon with considerable elegance and style.
