The new Mercedes-Benz CLS charms buyers with luxury features

An official presentation of the new-generation Mercedes-Benz CLS coupe has been held at the International Car Show in Los-Angeles, U.S. It bears reminding that the first CLS model came out in 2003 and gave birth to a new market segment.

Even though the new vehicle is built on the E-Class platform, it still comes with a slew of design features previously reserved exclusively for hi-end S-Class sedans. The car has a sloping roof, massive overhangs, stout rear quarter panels and brand-exclusive windows.

Two giant displays are immediately noticeable in the interior, one serving as a dashboard and the other one meant for interaction with the entertainment system. Buyers may choose among 64 interior highlight options. The front seats were designed especially for the new Mercedes-Benz CLS, while the rear ones got rid of the dividing console to form a comfortable sofa which can easily accommodate up to three passengers. Numerous automatic control systems make driving this latest creation of German car industry a pleasant and safe experience.

The 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS comes with a choice of three engines: two 2.9L diesels rated at 286 hp and 340 hp, and a 3.0L gas motor capable of 367 hp. Whichever you choose, the car should accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in under 5 seconds.

No mention of the price has been made so far.
