Regrettably, not all Mercedes cars can boast class-leading performance. It is for models like these that the car tuning shop Vath releases performance upgrades. The latest one is dedicated to the Mercedes-Benz E 350d with the W213 body type.
In its stock version, the sedan comes powered by a six-cylinder turbocharged engine capable of around 250 hp (186 kW) and 620 Nm (457 lb·ft) of torque. Once retrofitted with the Vath engine control chip, its performance goes up to 310 hp (231 kW) and 710 Nm (524 lb·ft). The upgrade costs U.S. $1,300.
In addition to this, Mercedes-Benz E 350d owners may opt for lowered suspension ($1,150) and a set of premium black or titanium-grey wheels ($900).
Other available options include a trunk-mounted spoiler lip, cross-flow aerodynamic flaps, black or chrome-coated tailpipes, and a new exhaust system with powerful adjustable sound.
