Manhart releases ER 800 tuning kit prices for the Mercedes-AMG E63 S

A little while ago, German tuner Manhart announced a series of five Mercedes-AMG E63 S coupes capable of supercar-like acceleration. Here are the details.

The so-called Manhart ER 800 project uses a pre-facelift E-Class as a starting point, but customers can probably request a facelifted variant – they are nearly identical in most respects. Most importantly, the stock 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 gets massaged to deliver 809 PS (798 hp / 595 kW) and 1,070 Nm (789 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels instead of its usual 612 PS (603 hp / 450 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft). This involves replacing the turbos, the air intake system, and the downpipes, as well as tweaking the ECU firmware. The engine kit plus air intake system come in at €22,630.

Another €8,500 buys you a high-end exhaust system. The downpipes add €2,900 on top of that, the tailpipes €700, and you can choose between carbon and ceramic for the latter.

Those who appreciate the Manhart aesthetics may opt for custom forged wheels (€8,200), decals (€999), a black front grille bezel (€595), and a lowering mod for the stock air-ride suspension (€355).

Interior options boil down to branded floor mats (€178) and a LED-encrusted ceiling (€1,990), although we suspect a full makeover can be ordered at a suitable premium.
