The Mercedes-Benz EQE has been spied testing again, but not on the North Loop this time around – the crew evaluated its performance on wet asphalt.
The headlights look finalized, and the trunk lid is more or less traditional compared to that of the EQS model, which resembles a liftback more than the sedan it is supposed to be. Why the EQS comparison? Because the two models have the same underlying architecture, so design similarities are to be expected, too.
There is little known about the powertrain of the all-electric EQE, but an earlier Mercedes report mentioned an intention to make it an all-wheel-drive car with 407 PS (401 hp / 300 kW) and 765 Nm (564 lb-ft) of torque. An AMG EQE rated close to 505 PS (498 hp / 371 kW) is also expected.
Stay tuned for a full reveal at the IAA Munich show in September.
