Most of us have come to associate the word “G-Wagen” with the iconic Mercedes-AMG G63, which packs a V8 engine. However, there is also the cheaper G350d, which comes equipped with a rather modest 3.0l V6 diesel. But what if you wanted your G350d to look and feel exactly like its senior sibling, the G63?
Up until now, your options were pretty limited – but not anymore! Schawe Car Design set out to redesign the G350d into a spitting image of the G63. For that, they have replaced numerous body parts, including both aprons and the exhaust tips. To imitate the V8 soundtrack, they threw in a custom exhaust system with in-built speakers.
The car also gained a set of 21” matte-black wheels concealing reinforced AMG brakes with Brembo discs.
The interior received high-quality leather treatment with occasional carbon elements. There is also a new sound system and a sports steering wheel.
Overall, we believe this to be an extremely successful G63 clone project. And what do you think?
