Australia-based car company Earthcruiser just revealed its latest creation. Called the Earthcruiser Escape, it is a motorhome conversion of the iconic Mercedes G-Class.
You will be challenged to recognize the original 4WD SUV in the vehicle that now sports no-nonsense metallic bumpers, winches in front and in the back, solar panels on the roof, a roomy roof box, lots of auxiliary lights, and a raising sunroof. It also weighs in at an impressive 4.5 metric tons (~10,000 lbs) and has a wheelbase that spans 3,430 mm (11.25 ft.).
Moving on to the cabin, there is a fridge with a freezer and a kitchenette complete with a mini table, seats, a sink, and a diesel-powered stove. There are numerous storage niches and compartments, and even a discreet foldable toilet. You can make a bed for three if you just fold the table and the seats.
For maximum touring comfort, the Earthcruiser Escape comes equipped with a climate control system, a multimedia unit with a touchscreen display, Internet, Wi-Fi, dimmable lighting, and windows adorned with neat Venetian blinds.
Turning a Mercedes G-Class into an Earthcruiser Escape takes roughly 700 hours and costs €220,000.
