The OPAC Contender XG is a G-Class squeezed into Mercedes-Benz SLK body

The custom ride by Status & Class emerged in a series of five as a cross between the 1990s G-Wagon and the Mercedes-Benz SLK (R170). It is currently up for grabs for €490,000, and the odometer reads 11,000 kilometers (6,835 miles).

Tech-wise, the vehicle is almost identical to the three-door version of the old Mercedes G-Class. This includes the chassis with three differential locks, the inline-six engine pumping out 211 horsepower (157 kilowatts), and the four-speed automatic gear.

The Mercedes-Benz SLK (R170) roadster provides the body, but the bumpers, headlights, door handles, wheel arches and the roof have all been redesigned.

Inside, new premium-grade leather finish covers the seats, the door panels and the dashboard, and there are occasional natural wood inserts to be seen.
