FAS Speed produced ten custom, long-wheelbase Mercedes-AMG G63 vehicles called ‘Big One’ three years ago. Today, one of these Big Ones is up for grabs again.
The SUV belongs to the previous-gen G-Class and comes powered by a 5.5-liter V8 twin-turbo churning out 571 hp (426 kW) to the wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission and permanent AWD. The drivetrain is also just about the only thing that stays stock.
The body of the off-roader gains a whopping 75 centimeters (2.5 feet) of added length, which translates into plenty of legroom for the rear passengers. The rear doors are also larger now, and a partitioning wall separates the rows for privacy. The second-row sofa is no more, and two separate seats are present in its place, complete with a center console.
The car currently on sale only has around 1,000 kilometers (610 miles) on its odometer, because the tuner mostly used it for show purposes (as a Geneva IMS show car, for example). The asking price is €499,800, which is a veritable mountain of cash even compared to the already hefty €150,000 that buys you a brand-new Mercedes-AMG G63 in Germany.
