Ukraine-based tune-up shop VIP-LIM has produced a one-off replica of the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6 and is currently offering it in Florida, USA for just $167,000 – a mere third of the original price.
The car is based on the G55 AMG spec from 17 years ago, but benefits from certain technological upgrades borrowed from the army-issue Volvo Laplander. It relies on a 5.4-liter V8 rated at 476 hp (355 kW) and a five-speed auto gearbox for movement.
On the outside, the imitation appears almost authentic – the wheel arch extensions, the hood, the lighting, the roof molding all look the same. Radiator grille bars are pretty much the only discernible difference.
The cabin trim involves plenty of leather interspersed with occasional carbon fiber inserts.
