An ad is offering a lightly used Brabus B 800 for sale in Russia, which is a Mercedes-AMG G 65 under all the carbon.
The number 800 refers to the power in metric horsepower: instead of its usual 612 PS (603 hp / 450 kW), the modified G-Wagen extracts 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW) out of its turbocharged V12. As a result, it needs only 4.2 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) and doesn’t hit the speed limit until 270 km/h (168 mph). The original comes rated at 250 km/h (155 mph) max.
The seller claims he had around €100,000 invested in the ride. Highlights include adaptive shocks and individual heated/ventilated second row seats transplanted from a W222 S-Class.
Brabus carried out the project in 2013, but the owner says he started driving the cars two years later. The odometer shows around 13,500 km (8,388 miles), and the off-roader is reported to be in excellent condition. Among other things, its body boasts a protective ceramic coating against dents and scratches.
