Legacy Overland unveils restomod of a 30-year-old Mercedes-Benz G-Class

The US-based car atelier Legacy Overland has finished restoring and modernizing a Mercedes-Benz G-Class Wolf military vehicle issued in 1990.

The firm has replaced the entire lighting set, installed a new suspension kit, a roll cage, a bull bar, and a set of 16-inch rims clad in off-road tires. The restored G-Wagen has also received a snorkel pipe, protective steel plating around the engine compartment, and an easily detachable soft top.

On the inside, the atelier has installed an advanced multimedia system, trimmed the steering wheel and the doors with higher-quality materials and replaced the seats with ergonomic sport ones.

The hood cover of the vehicle opens to reveal a 2.5-liter, five-cylinder diesel engine with barely 95 hp (71 kW) at its disposal. Despite that, the military SUV Mercedes-Benz G-Class Wolf features a full-fledged AWD with diff locks in the rear and in front. It offers five-speed manual transmission.

Legacy Overland preferred not to disclose any costs involved in the job.
