Car tuner Brabus has revealed the first customization package for the new Mercedes-Benz G-Class with the G500 body type.
The production vehicle comes equipped with a 4.0-liter turbocharged engine rated at 422 hp (315 kW) and a multi-speed automatic transmission. It needs under 6 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h (60 mph).
The upgrade brings the performance up 78 hp to a total 500 (373 kW), reducing the acceleration time by 0.2s. This is achieved through the installation of a higher-grade exhaust system and an update of the engine control firmware.
Among other things, the modded Mercedes-Benz G-Class features a new body kit and bumpers, carbon-fiber light rack on the roof, a spoiler, a large air intake, and a set of originally styled 23-inch wheels.
The interior is draped in genuine leather and chamois.
Brabus did not reveal the price of the package.
