Jon Olsson is not only a renowned freeskier, but an avid car collector who likes to remodel his cars in such extreme ways that until no one would recognize them anymore. Some time ago, he bought a regular Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4² and sawed off its top, turning it into a convertible. Now he sells it for U.S. $800,000.
Jon Olsson unveiled his improvised G-Wagen convertible early this summer. He explained that he decided to get rid of the top when he discovered that the car wouldn’t fit in his garage and underground parking areas in Monaco. Absolute Motors car atelier rose up to the task and turned his Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4² into a cabriolet.
It is perhaps worth noting that the original G-Wagen costs U.S. $285,000, while its modded version is being offered at almost three times that price.
