British customization shop Project Kahn has produced one of the wildest Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG styling kits to date, dubbed ‘Carbon Wide Track Edition’.
The off-roader received front bumper inserts, a different radiator grille, add-ons for the hood and the roof (the latter with DRLs), and a two-piece rear roof spoiler. Elegantly styled wheel arches ended up with 23-inch Kahn Type 57 wheels shod in Continental SportContact 6 rubber, suggesting that the owner did not order the G-Class with off-road driving in mind. Rounding things off are quad tailpipes measuring 100 mm (4 inches) across with crosshair-shaped inserts in them.
Power stays stock, which in the case of the G-Class means a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo’d to deliver 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque. The SUV needs 4.5 seconds to get to 100 km/h (62 mph) and maxes out at 240 km/h (149 mph).
The vehicle shown is currently available in the UK with barely any mileage and an asking price of £225,000. The body kit alone will set you back £15,000, plus £2,400 for the roof add-on, plus another £8,000 for the wheels. As far as the cabin options go, there are carbon fiber trim pieces for £2,400 and a steering wheel made from the same lightweight material for £2,000. As usual, you can also order a complete overhaul.
