German tuner G-Power has lost no time in preparing not one, but two performance boost programs for two different vehicles. One is called the BMW GX5M and is an F95-gen BMW X5 M Competition, while the other answers to GP 63 and is none other than the W463A G-Class AMG. Let us see what they received, specifically.
Before we begin, allow us a reminder that the Bavarian crossover SUV makes 625 PS (616 hp / 460 kW) in its stock form and the Stuttgart off-roader makes 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW). Neither is underpowered by any means, but the tuner offers dialing them up to between 700 and 800 metric horsepower.
The Stage 1 kit is software-only for both and results in 700 PS (690 hp / 515 kW) at the crank. The X5 M gets 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of peak torque and the G-Wagen an even more impressive 950 Nm (701 lb-ft).
Stage 2 introduces new downpipes and an optional active-valve exhaust system, as well as a few other minor mods. The power reaches 750 PS (560 kW) and the torque 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft), respectively. A special transmission mod is installed to increase top speed on the highway for the G-Class.
Finally, the Stage 3 targets those who hate compromises in tuning and maxes the power out at 800 metric horses (789 hp / 588 kW) for both vehicles. The X5 M gets 950 Nm (701 lb-ft) of torque and the G-Class 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft). Many aftermarket parts are used, including – but not limited to – high-end turbochargers.
