Used Mansory Gronos crops up in Russia priced higher than a new AMG G 63

A 2013 Mercedes-AMG G 63 (W463) with around 55,000 km (34,175 miles) under its belt is looking for a new owner in Moscow, Russia right now. The asking price of ₽20 million ($271,000 USD) buys you a new G 63, but that one lacks the Mansory Gronos tuning.

German tuner Mansory unveiled the original Gronos off-roader at the 2013 Geneva International Motor Show. The show car flaunted a carbon fiber body kit, an overhauled interior and a boosted engine. The 5.5-liter V8 churned out 850 PS (838 hp / 625 kW) instead of the standard 544 PS (536 hp / 400 kW). It also commanded 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque, a significant increase over the usual 850 Nm (627 lb-ft). The seller of this example claims it additionally had its suspension tuned for comfort.

The first and only owner acquired the car seven years ago and paid €1 million for it. Mansory priced the modified G-Class very high, indeed, because of a production run limited to just 15 units.

Having said that, Russia has seen more expensive G-Wagons on sale recently. A G 63 AMG 6x6 went up on sale there a year ago, belonging to a series of just 100 units. The seller wanted ₽70 million ($948,500 USD in today’s money) for it, but there is no information on whether the deal succeeded or fell through.
