Brabus-tuned Mercedes G-Class 6×6 bid to $1.1M

Imagining an SUV even more exotic and brutal-looking than the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 takes impressive imagination capabilities, but Brabus rose to the challenge and unveiled the B63S-700, a custom take on the already exceptional original. It is now on sale with a top bid at $1,100,000 USD.

At the core of the tuning is an upgrade that enables the stock 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 to push 700 PS (690 hp / 515 kW) and 960 Nm (708 lb-ft) to the wheels. Aftermarket mods include upsized turbines and exhaust manifolds, an extra water intercooler, and heat-repellent golden casing for air intake and turbocharger piping. A seven-speed A/T directs 30% of torque each to the front and rear axle and the remaining 40% to the middle.

The exterior of the tuned G-Wagon flaunts a host of carbon fiber accents and rides on 18-inch Hutchinson rims shod in Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. The kick plates bear the name of the tuning shop on them, and the cabin greets with a combination of white and black perforated leather adorned with honeycomb stitching.

The standard G63 AMG 6×6 came out eight years ago and cost a rough equivalent of U.S. $500,000 back at the time. The custom example on sale today has around 8,000 miles (13,000 km) under its belt and was reportedly imported into the USA as a non-road-legal display car.
