Mercedes-Benz has posted an image showing the digital dashboard of its upcoming GLA mini-SUV and demonstrating how its blind zone monitor feature works.
Among other things, the latter can warn the driver about potential danger when opening the door at a parking lot. If a vehicle is approaching at this time (not necessarily a car, bikes count, too), the driver will receive a warning signal.
The new GLA also packs a high-end infotainment system and supports partially autonomous driving. Being based on the MFA2 platform of the latest A-Class, it will ship with the same engine range as that one, notably including the new 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine rated at 163 hp (122 kW).
The international reveal event is scheduled for December 11, 2019.
