Mercedes placed its bets right when it launched the ultra-successful GLC line of crossovers. They remain among the best-selling Mercedes vehicles to this day, but a new generation that is already in development is welcome all the same.
The various spy photos made so far reveal multiple modifications, including the range-topping AMG GLC 63, but the latest selection focuses on a hybrid version.
The current-gen GLC 300e uses a 2.0liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor for a total of 318 PS (314 hp / 234 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. The new generation is expected to improve power and efficiency compared to the old one.
It also looks like the new GLC is larger than the previous generation, which implies a spacious interior and a larger trunk. Much should be updates inside as well, but we do not have any specifics right now.
