Sales of the second-gen Mercedes-Benz GLE are already in full swing, but the GLE Coupe is still running rounds on the North Loop, getting ready to premiere.
The camo-cladded vehicle betrays little of its design nuances, but it doesn’t take a genius or a pro to conclude that the slanted roof is the single big thing that distinguishes it from the main GLE series. That, and it will likely inherit the cabin trim and engine range from the SUV, too. The performance-packed AMG version will grace the market with its presence a little after the main launch.
Interestingly enough, the GLE Coupe is being tested right next to the new BMW X6 on the North Loop. When it finally comes out, though, it will have much more competition to worry about, including the Audi Q8 and the Porsche Cayenne Coupe.
The premiere date remains unannounced, but we expect it to be within the next few months.
