German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has revealed a series of crayon sketches showing the interior of the forthcoming generational update of the GLE SUV series. The car itself will be present at the 2018 Paris International Motor Show.
According to the images, the dashboard of the vehicle will be occupied by the Mercedes trademark 12.3-inch display, which will combine the functions of the instrument panel and the infotainment system under one sheet of glass. It will also display certain useful runtime indicators, such as the current chassis setting, the navigation route etc.
The new Mercedes-Benz GLE will also get a state-of-the-art AI-assisted infotainment system with a self-learning feature. You may say, for example, “Hey, Mercedes guy! We need to tank up.” The car will immediately respond with building a route to the nearest gas station.
The next-generation SUV line will utilize the MHA architecture and weigh considerably less than the current one. Its engine palette will consist of gasoline, diesel and hybrid options.
An AMG performance variant of the Mercedes-Benz GLE will be added to the family a while after the main release. Word has it that the car will get a 4.0-liter engine capable of as much as 600 hp (450 kW).
