Mercedes-Maybach S-Сlass Edition 100 announced for the USA

This year marks 100 years since the launch of the first mass-produced Maybach car, the W3. The marque has since moved under the wing of Mercedes-Benz, but stays true to its history. This special S-Class edition will celebrate the big anniversary.

Called the Edition 100, it takes the V12-powered top spec of the S-Class as a starting point and improves it further. The exterior gets an exclusive paint scheme in light blue and silver with Metallic Grey wheels and Edition 100 badges. As for the engine, Mercedes de-boosted it by 18 horsepower to 612 PS (604 hp / 450 kW) in the latest generation, but the limited series might get that little bit of thrust back.

The cabin is wrapped in light-hued leather and has every imaginable bit of Maybach luxury on board: the Burmeister 4D audio system, the multi-function console between the seats, multiple displays, massaged seats, noise-proof rear window, and much more.

A total of 100 units will be made. Shipments to the United States will begin in the first half of the next year.
