Around thirty years ago, the Mercedes S-Class W140 rightfully claimed the title of the most technologically sophisticated sedan of its time. It came equipped with dual-pane windows for maximum noise and heat insulation, power doors and a whole plethora of other similar features that made driving a much safer and more enjoyable experience overall. Those times may be long gone now, but the fame of the Mercedes S-Class W140 lives on.
One of these automotive masterpieces has recently been discovered in San-Diego, CA. As you may see here, the poor German vehicle has survived through a mockery of a tuning. There are now enormous bullhorns up front where the Mercedes star is supposed to be (Viking we shall go, anyone?). But the grossest offence comes in the form of two semi-truck style tailpipes that you would usually see on a big rig but never, ever on an elegant executive sedan. Poor, poor S-Class…
One can only hope that all these can be removed without ruining the car body. Perhaps the owner of this Mercedes S-Class W140 will eventually come to his/her senses and do that…
