New Mercedes-Benz S-Class sheds some camo, but not enough

A video showing the alleged 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class update has been uploaded to YouTube. The executive car got rid of at least some of its test mule wrap, but the most interesting parts remain cloaked.

According to the media, the Stuttgart automaker will be premiering the new S-Class next year and launch its AMG and Maybach versions a year or so after that.

The areas so far uncovered include the roof, the pillars, the taillights, and the headlights, which can now be seen using LED-based DRLs. The brake lights have moved closer to the sides/doors.

The only official bit of information about the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class says it will be getting an SAE Level 3 self-driving tech, which would enable it to go unattended under the right road conditions.
