According to company representatives, the place for the tests was chosen not accidentally - in Shanghai there are a lot of cars, motorcycles and pedestrians. Such road conditions will help to achieve optimal operation of unmanned systems. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class monitors the environment with laser sensors and surveillance cameras with a wide viewing angle.
As we reported, Mercedes-Benz has previously begun testing a new-generation unmanned system. Equipped with her car can independently navigate in space and control the steering wheel, brake and accelerator. For tests the car E-Class is used.
By the way, Mercedes-Benz has started development of S-Class of a new generation. The premiere of the car will take place in 2020. While not much is known about the car, however, that it will be easier than its predecessor is beyond doubt. This will be achieved through the extensive use of modern composite materials.
