WALD updates its Black Bison kit for the W222 Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Mercedes launched the 2017 S-Class (W222) sedan in 24 different versions, including AMG and Maybach, giving well-to-do customers plenty of choice. Nonetheless, some of us felt left out because the popular WALD International body kit no longer fitted it. Three years later, the Japanese tuner finally fixed it.

The ‘WALD Black Bison 2019’ kit mostly repeats its pre-facelift version, but a few fresh touches are there. For one, the restyled front spoiler is a better fit for the new bumper, and the gaudy air intake DRLs are gone for good. The arches and fenders, side sills, rear apron and rear diffuser – all of this stays the same.

Further options include a carbon-fiber paddle shifter, a stainless-steel exhaust system, and WALD Vorsalino V12C wheels (two-piece, forged, 22”). On the show car, the wheels come in a dual-tone finish and fill out their arches perfectly thanks to air suspension.
