Mercedes introduces rear row airbags in the new S-Class

Mercedes continues revealing interesting technical details about the upcoming next generation of its S-Class luxury saloon line.

According to the latest announcement, the car gets additional frontal airbags for those sitting in the back row. No details are being provided as to the specific work principles, but if images are any indication, the airbags will reside inside the backs of the front seats.

Mercedes points out that the bags will inflate simultaneously with their side counterparts during a collision, thus cushioning the rear seat occupants in the best way possible.

In an earlier news, we reported that the next-gen S-Class would be getting an advanced, AI-powered version of the MBUX infotainment system.
