A rather exotic vehicle cropped on an online marketplace: an open-top Mercedes-Benz W126 with four doors. The current asking price is €34,500.
The seller claims there is about a dozen of such cars in the world (we have found another example; watch the video), and this particular one is especially well-kept with only around 70,000 kilometers (43,500 miles) under its belt. Indeed, this seems like low mileage for a 40-year old car.
Mercedes-Benz never produced such convertibles; an uncredited U.S. tuner did the job instead. Later on, the car was imported back into Germany where a collector bought it.
Despite the uniqueness, the topless W126 never once participated in rally tournaments, expo events or commercial shoots. All of the modifications are legally approved, and the only defect the seller admits to is the soft top, which leaks during rain.
