Cheap supercar replicas are commonplace on the used car markets of less developed countries, but this Mercedes-Benz SLK 230 takes the prize for no longer being recognizable under all the Lamborghini-inspired mascara.
Whoever built the bizarre ride fitted it with a couple of gull-wing doors and an elaborate body kit with redesigned bumpers. There is a custom radiator grille at the front, and the headlights sport secondary housings for some reason. New wheels with red spokes fill out the arches, and the tail sports a rear wing along with a diffuser. Overall, the design gives off vague Lamborghini vibes, although a look at the side fins briefly reminded us of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.
No less tacky is the interior clad in red and black leather with natural fur on the dashboard. A stock 2.3-liter four-banger toils under the hood producing 193 PS (190 hp / 142 kW). The powertrain specifics aren’t disclosed, but the selling price is surprisingly low at the equivalent of U.S. $2,400.
