Peek inside a luxury motorhome priced at Maybach level

Midwest Automotive Design has been building custom motorhomes for a decade and a half now, and this 2021 Daycruiser 144 van is their latest creation. Based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, it takes a single look inside to understand why it costs $172,500 before all options.

The 7.3m (24ft.) long van doesn’t just share its price point with Maybach, but can actually rival the latter in terms of available equipment and overall luxury. The cabin comes trimmed with high-quality wood and leather, and the seats are obviously inspired by the abovementioned luxobarge. Even the most basic spec includes a bathroom with a 76l fresh water tank and a 49l used water tank, a WC, a fridge, a microwave, a table, a kitchen sink, and one or two sofas that you can combine into a large bed.

The option list includes AWD ($15,000), air-ride suspension ($11,000), off-road tires ($3,750), 100-Ah li-ion battery ($1,950), satellite TV ($7,500), wireless Internet ($2,000) and a bathroom TV for the same amount. A power generator, an air conditioner and a SiriusXM satellite radio wrap up the impressive project.
