The next-gen Mercedes-Benz Sprinter to debut on February, 6

The new 2018 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van will be officially introduced to the wide audience on February 6th, 2018, the company stated in a media release.

Perhaps the most interesting fact about the new vehicle is that it gets released with its own purpose-built chassis, rather than relying – like it did before – on an automotive platform developed by VW Group.

Little is known about the new 2018 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter to this date. Mercedes claims it is going to be “much more comfortable” than its predecessor and take advantage of multiple safety and assistance-oriented features. By combining various trim options and accessories, customers will be able to create over 1,000 modifications of the van. Last but not least, a full-electric Mercedes-Benz eSprinter is also going to come out some time after the main release.

The Sprinter series began in 2006, with the current generation being 2014.
