Mercedes-Benz has taken the wraps off its facelifted V-Class MPV. The minivan now sports a different bumper with reshaped air intakes, a redesigned radiator grille, and new wheels. It also ships in several new colors and offers a revised range of tech options.
Buyers may now choose among six available interior trims that involve fabric or leather upholstery with occasional inclusions of carbon fiber, brushed aluminum, natural wood or piano lacquer.
The facelifted Mercedes-Benz V-Class ships with a four-liter diesel engine rated at 190 hp (142 kW) and 239 Nm (176 lbft) of torque, enabling it to accelerate to a maximum of 220 km/h (137 mph). The old seven-speed gearbox is no longer available, making room for a 9-speed automatic with the support for manual switching. The car ships either rear-driven or with an all-wheel drive.
Standard equipment includes an automatic emergency braking feature that can recognize pedestrians and immovable objects ahead, adaptive headlights, and the Crosswind Assist function that helps the driver control the MPV dwhen a strong wind is blowing from a side.
The new Mercedes-Benz V-Class will arrive on the market in Europe this spring priced from €40,000.
