YouTuber Woodworking Art comes back with yet another masterpiece crafted out of natural timber: a replica of the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, one of the world’s most beautiful cars to look at.
Only around 1,000 units of the elusive SL-class was made in total, so tracking one down to use as a reference would have been nearly impossible. Still, the artisan has succeeded in reproducing pretty much everything in his scale model, notably including even the gullwing doors. The hood and the trunk lid also swing open by the way.
Be sure to watch the video to appreciate the smaller detailing found in the cabin, complete with seats, a dashboard, a steering wheel and a gear lever. The wheels rotate, and there is a full-fledged spare wheel in the trunk.
