Mercedes-Benz CLE-Class Coupe spied shedding camo

The latest bunch of spy photos depicts the coupe version of the new Mercedes-Benz CLE-Class – still clad in disguise, but with more exposed bits and what looks like production headlights.

The coupe will come based on the MRA-2 platform underpinning the entire next-gen C-Class. The common architecture likely means that the CLE will also inherit the same powertrains. Rumors insist that the first car to debut will be the CLE AMG in late 2023, powered by the same 2.0-liter V4 as the C63.

A sloped roof and a shortened rear end lend the two-door car a rather sporty aesthetic. The cabin is not shown, but it will probably be styled close to that of the C-Class mentioned above, meaning plenty of modern design and tech.

Mercedes hasn’t announced the premiere yet, but we expect the CLE-Class to hit the spotlight before the end of the current year.
