Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the EQT, a battery-powered equivalent of the T-Class compact van. The model is ready for production and will be available soon starting from €49,000.
On the outside, the EQT looks identical to the T-Class except for a solid black panel instead of the radiator grille. The floor inside is slightly raised to accommodate a 45-kWh traction battery between the axles. All propulsion is provided by a front-mounted electric motor rated at 122 PS (120 hp / 90 kW) and 245 Nm (181 lb-ft) of torque.
Those who would like to go camping can order a Marco Polo Module and get a mattress for two adults, a kitchenette with a stove, a fridge a sink and a water tank, a table, a couple of chairs and some storage boxes. If this doesn’t sound appealing enough, a more complete RV solution will reach the market in the second half of 2023 based on the Mercedes-Benz Concept EQT Marco Polo revealed earlier today.
