Brabus’ second bike costs less, goes on sale tomorrow

Famous Mercedes-Benz tuner Brabus has rolled out the Brabus 1300 R Edition 23, a motorbike it designed with the KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo as a starting point. Unlike the company’s previous bike tuning project, which was limited to 154 units worldwide, this one will enjoy a 290-unit production run. You can leave a pre-order starting from February 16.

Compared to the original KTM bike, the Brabus version is awash with carbon-fiber applications of all kinds. There are new air intakes, headlight shrouds, fender extensions and trims. The seat is now heated and has Brabus stitching on it, while the dashboard sports updated graphics.

New sideview mirrors are now mounted lower than the handlebar grips. There is a black exhaust system and a set of 17-inch Monoblock Z forged rims. You can choose between black and Stealth Grey for the overall color scheme. Brabus says 145 units of each will be produced, though, so the colors are subject to availability.

The stock 1.3-liter V-twin engine rated at 180 PS (178 hp / 132 kW) and 140 Nm (103 lb-ft) of torque stays unchanged. The bike hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in a breezy 3.2 seconds and doesn’t hit its speed cap until 270 km/h (180 mph). The optional KTM semi-active suspension is preinstalled by default on all Brabus bikes, offering six setting ranging from Comfort to Track.
