Mercedes-AMG revealed that it had been working on a crossover utility vehicle destined to reach the market under the AMG badge alone – no toned-down Mercedes-Benz counterparts.
The still-unnamed vehicle is fully electric and rides on the AMG.EA platform. The company is also using this platform for a large liftback (see video), which is currently running pre-production tests and is expected to debut next year.
In contrast, the AMG SUV seen as an outline in the teaser above has yet to hit the roads, even as a prototype. At this early stage of development, there is no launch date on the calendar.
