The German automaker has registered PixelPaint, a technology that lets it spray new cars with intricate liveries as if from a jet ink printer.
The new painting method has enough resolution and precision to unlock “unlimited customization opportunities,” the company claims. Its Manufaktur subdivision is already looking into it, so customers may gain access to it soon.
