An ultra-rare Mercedes-Benz W196 racecar known as the Streamliner (German: Stromlinienwagen) has found a new owner in Europe, who parted with €51,155,000 for it.
The car was driven by Juan Manuel Fangio and Stirling Moss to many victories and podium entrances at the World Drivers’ Championship in the 1950s. The same championship later became known as the Formula 1. Once its racing career was over, the car proceeded to sit in museums for several decades.
