Mercedes-AMG unveils pricing for the GT 63 S E Performance

Mercedes is planning to launch the AMG GT 63 S E Performance in April, and we now know firsthand that it is going to cost from €196,897 in Europe. A special edition with a green body and multiple styling packs will set you back €21,777 more.

The first AMG-badged Mercedes hybrid debuted last autumn with a four-liter V8 and an electric motor driving the wheels with 843 PS (831 hp / 620 kW) and 1,470 Nm (1,084 lb-ft) of torque. Despite weighing 2,380 kilograms (5,247 lbs), it can accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 316 km/h (196.5 mph).

The AMG GT 63 S E Performance takes advantage of a Drift Mode capable AWD system. Its battery pack is very small, limiting silent all-electric range to just 12 kilometers (7.5 miles). The company claims this should still be enough to get from a residential district to your destination in the city without having to use the combustion engine.
