According to MB Passion, Mercedes-AMG has stopped producing the GT Black Series supercar that it unveiled in summer 2020. The Mercedes factory in Sindelfingen has made slightly over 1,700 units since starting production in October 2020.
Back when it debuted, the GT Black Series was the undisputed champion of the marque in terms of raw performance, packing a 4.0-liter V8 boosted to 730 PS (720 hp / 537 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. It could launch 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.2 seconds and maxed out at 325 km/h (202 mph).
In 2020, the supercar also set a new Nürburgring Nordschleife record, dethroning the Lamborghini Aventador. Porsche was quick to steal leadership with its GT2 RS, though.
