While Mercedes fans keep anxiously waiting for the troubled AMG One superhybrid, the 730-PS Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series remains at the pinnacle of the Tri-Pointed Star lineup. You would think no one would want to tune a supercar like this one, but Vossen Wheels just had one such custom job done.
The tuner swapped the OEM wheel set for its own ultralight forged model, the EVO-2R. The new wheels are slightly larger than stock as 20x10.5 inches front and 21x13 rear. Adorned with a Midnight Smoke Grey finish and wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires, they look like something that the AMG GT could leave the factory with.
It is worth noting that, despite the supercar owners’ apparent obsession with multi-piece forged rims, these are actually monoblocks. To us, they seem to prove the point that you do not need a multi-piece wheel set in order for your car to look elegant and unique.
