Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe assumes athletic posture thanks to tuners

AC-Performance, a tuning firm specializing in cars with the tri-pointed star badge on them, has rolled out an option package for the already gorgeous Mercedes-AMG GT.

Before the customization, the car had been equipped with an AMG Exterior Carbon Pack #1 and wrapped in a satin black wrap. Apparently, this was not enough for the owner, because they ordered a slew of aftermarket components including carbon mirror caps, TIKT front fenders with vents, a new hood and a carbon trunk lid.

The team also installed staggered BC Forged wheels (20” front, 21” rear) and upgraded the suspension to KW Variant 3, which is adjustable in terms of stiffness and height. A peek behind the spokes of the wheels reveals golden calipers and carbon-ceramic brakes, but those are both OEM options.

Rounding things off is a 4.0-liter engine massaged to deliver 720 PS (710 hp / 530 kW) instead of 557 PS (549 hp / 410 kW). A Capristo active-valve exhaust system ensures the upgrade is heard even at lower revs.
