Check out a home speaker with Mercedes-AMG GT charms

iXOOST, a company based in Modena, Italy, has unveiled a home audio system closely inspired by the Mercedes-AMG GT supercar.

The similarity is so striking, you will be forgiven for thinking some parts were sourced from the car (see video) directly. These include the front grille, the exhaust tips and the rear diffuser. Rounding off the look is a top panel that resembles a hood with air intakes.

The system incorporates four 1-inch high-frequency speakers and two 6-inch low-frequency ones, driven by a 2x125W amp. The speaker plays back frequencies in the 60–20,000Hz range and supports a Bluetooth. It also has a DSP.

Made from carbon fiber and still weighing in at no-nonsense 15 kilograms (33 pounds), the system might end up costing tens of thousands of dollars. No prices have been announced yet, but it is an exclusive piece of audio hardware 65 x 76 x 26 centimeters large (25.4 x 29.7 x 10.1 inches), so high production costs are all but expected.
