Car spotters have nabbed down a new version of the Mercedes-AMG GT testing in light camo. Judging by their looks, both cars were entry-level and had a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine under the hood, Carscoops reports.
Despite the cladding, you can still see that the bumper design is more understated here. There are no vertical air vents at the rear end, and the white car has only two tailpipes. The blue prototype still has four round exhaust finishers for some reason, though.
Our best guess is that Mercedes is getting ready to launch a new modification of its AMG GT supercar. The current lineup consists of two models AMG GT 53, which has 476 PS (469 hp / 350 kW) at its disposal, and AMG GT 63, which delivers 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW).
The two cars spotted this week could be AMG GT 43 models packing the company’s famous 2.0-liter turbo four-pot assisted by a 48V electric starter for a combined output of 381 PS (376 hp / 280 kW).
