There are precious few vehicles more extreme than the Mercedes-AMG GT R on the Mercedes lineup, but the Pro version of the same model qualifies as one. German tuning shop BS Teile Center found a way to combine the strengths of both cars while cranking the power all the way up to 903 PS (891 hp / 664 kW).
In its stock guise, the AMG GT R comes with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 rated at 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW). The custom car pictured here offers nearly three hundred horses more thanks to its Weistec Engineering W.4 turbo kit, a new carbon-fiber air intake system, Wagner air coolers, and 200-cell catalysts along with new downpipes.
The seven-speed transmission stays largely stock except for a heavy-duty coupling, something it sorely needs to handle all that thrust. The body, on the contrary, is anything but stock: both bumpers, all wheel arches, side skirts, the rear wing and the diffuser – everything has been replaced with authentic AMG GT R Pro parts. New headlamps and taillights complement the image nicely, and the tuner puts its name on the sides of the car. The brakes and wheels also stem from the Pro catalog.
There is no mention of pricing, but one can imagine such a vehicle not coming cheaply. In fact, even the top-of-the-line AMG GT Black Series – which started from $325,000 in the United States at launch – commands nearly 200 horsepower less.
