Schumi’s Mercedes C-Class AMG goes on sale in France

Bonhams Auctions will be holding a sale in Paris on February 3 dedicated to a special 2010 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. Sevenfold winner of Formula One, Michael Schumacher, drove the wagon briefly before opting for a different car. The price is expected to make between 50,000 and 100,000 euros.

The legendary racing driver received the C63 in January 2010 when he was accepted into the Mercedes GP Petronas team. The vehicle was registered in Switzerland and optioned with around €20,000 worth of accessories. In July, Schumacher was given a different car, while this one returned to Mercedes and was later sold to a buyer in Switzerland.

This second owner drove it in 2011-2015 and put the most mileage on it, ending up with 146,278 km (90,893 miles) on the odometer and seven rounds of maintenance on record. An engineer from Germany purchased the wagon in 2015, restored it to excellent condition and only drove it for around 1,000 km (621 miles) per year.

The current owner bought the car in 2018 and ensures us he only drove it in warmer seasons, servicing it in a Mercedes-Benz dealership. The total mileage is now bordering on 152,000 km (95,000 miles), but the state of the car is being described as great.

The body is finished in black, while the interior comes wrapped in matching black leather. A 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 makes 457 PS (451 hp / 337 kW) under the hood. The transmission is seven-speed automatic.

The sports car received a TÜV certificate last March, meaning it was 100% road-legal and in flawless technical condition.
