Mercedes-AMG C63 sedan and estate spotted testing on the ‘Ring

Spy videos shot near the Nürburgring this weekend reveal a new Mercedes-AMG C63 sedan driven alongside its wagon-shaped cousin on the track. Both are well disguised, but it is not camouflage that interests us here.

The videos let you hear audible tire screeching and exhaust noise, the latter no longer originating from a V8. The next-gen AMG C63 utilizes a hybrid powertrain based on a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, a turbocharger and an electric motor for around 608 PS (600 hp / 447 kW) total.

Both prototypes rock the company’s signature Panamericana grille design. There are no interior shots yet, but we know that the new C-Class will be partially inspired by the S-Class in digital dash and infotainment departments.

The premiere should take place later in the year.
