The latest teaser shows the C-Class sedan from the front end: there’s a massive bumper with large air intakes and the signature Panamericana grille with vertical bars.
Rumor has it that the AMG C 43 specification will ship with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, but Motor1 believes the model will be a hybrid, rather than an ICE car.
Mercedes will likely be putting its famous 2.0L turbo-four mill under the hood with 421 PS (415 hp / 309 kW) at the output end. It remains to be seen whether there will be an electric motor and how powerful it will be. There’s the Mercedes-AMG SL 43 Convertible, for example, which runs on the same engine and a starter-generator for a combined output of 381 PS (376 hp / 280 kW), but this may not be the case with the new C 43.
